April

I am back from all the Christmas merriness to share a card using April from Mo's Digital Pencil. I am sharing it over on Mo's Dream Team blog where there is new inspirational creations twice daily!

We had such a warm Christmas day (high 70's) that it didn't quite feel like Christmas. I am ready for Spring as I am looking forward to planting some new flowers in my garden. This image is so adorable and perfect for anyone who loves gardening.

I have used My Mind's Eye Bramble Rose. The vellum envelope is one that I made using my Silhouette along with the birdcage.  The wheelbarrow die is a my new Die-namites die and the flourish is Cheery Lynn. I have used Viva Decor pearl pen all over as well as Frayed Burlap Distress Ink.
The seam binding is dyed with Wild Honey. The perfectly matching vintage seed Packet image behind the birdcage was a image from the internet.
I was drawn to create a yellow dominant card, but I always think that photos never do it justice. In real life it's really fresh and bright and it makes me smile!

And I Want A...

Well, I think this is my last Christmas card for the year! I didn't make nearly enough, so next year I must do better! I have used And I Want A..., from Mo's Digital Pencil. I think everyone can relate to this image! The boy on the left reminds me of my eldest who seemed not to know what to think of this stranger in red holding him! I have the picture we took of him framed and I smile every time I look at it!
I have used the MME Lost and Found Christmas Special Edition paper again. It seems I am feeling green this Christmas, which is unusual. I guess next Christmas I will have lots of red papers to use up! I again used my Silhouette to cut out these fun Christmas die cuts. I gessoed (is that a word?) them up but didn't quite like it so I cut out some white paper die cuts to overlap the kraft paper ones. I stitched and distressed the papers and stamped the tag for the envelope I made. Some twine and jingle bells finish it off.

This was a very colorful image and I think next time I will try a sepia toned one for a more neutral and vintage look!

I hope you like it and if I don't post again before Christmas,
"Merry Christmas!!"

Hello Krafty friends! Today is the start of the last Kenny K challenge of the year and, sadly, the last for the DT. If you hadn't seen the DT call, then I will tell you that in the new year there will be a whole new group to inspire everyone with Kenny K images.

Fairy with Ladybug

I have finally gotten around to coloring up the third of the 3 Baby Fairies from Mo's Digital Pencil!
They are all so adorable and I don't know why I waited so long to color up this cute Baby Fairy with the Ladybug. I think this one may be my favorite but it's so hard to choose favorites when it comes to Mo Manning images!

I used my Silhouette for the card base and to make another one of my scalloped tag envelopes. This time I used vellum for my envelope and then stamped on it twice with a Tim Holtz background stamp. I quite like the double color stamp effect! The papers are MME Lost and Found 3 Oliver.

I used my Butterfly Edge die on plain and patterned paper and cut out the butterflies of the patterned paper like I have seen others do. Like that, too! I used my Martha Stewart butterfly punch to punch out more butterflies which I adhered to a wood heart label which I gave a Crackle paint finish to. I attached some seam binding dyed with Weathered Wood and Chipped Sapphire to my tag. Cheesecloth, a doily and Liquid Pearls finish out my embellishments! Oh yeah, and some stitching!

Copics:
Skin: E000,00,21,11,13
Hair: E50,53,55,57
Blue: B0000,000,32,34,37

Carolers Three

Hello! I am sharing my Mo's Dream Team card for Mo's Digital Pencil with you all today. I have used Carolers Three, a perfect Christmas image!

I used the MME Lost and Found Christmas Special Edition 6x6 paper pad, sticking to the neutrals and greens. I used a bunch of die cuts and frantage! The kraft envelopes for my tags I handmade. The large one I hand cut with scallop scissors and created the small one in my Silhouette program. The pine cones in my flower cluster I also designed in Silhouette Studio. (If anyone knows how I can share my designs I would love to share them for free with anyone who wants them.)
On the tags I did some stamping of Christmas sentiments, Christmas trees and snowflakes. I added some glitter glue to the Merry Christmas on the background paper as a bit of star dust to fit the them at Live and Love Crafts. I also distressed and inked the paper edges with Walnut Stain DI.

I colored with my beloved Copics:
Skin: E000,00,21,11 R20,22
Hair: E50,53,57,59
E00,13,15,18
Red: R32,35,37,59 C9

Coat and Hat: E70,71,74,77

Buttons, Boots and Bling

Good morning! Today starts the new challenge over on the Kenny K Krafty Krew Blog!
Our theme is
Buttons, Boots and Bling!

I have used Tomboy Trouble. She is super fun and spunky and a ton of fun to color!
I have used My Mind's Eye paper which I have distressed and stitched. I have also tried my hand at stenciling some bricks and adding some script stamping on the background paper. The bingo card and library card were free printables. The teal flowers are Prima which I have used Gesso on and the big white one is Wild Orchid Crafts. In my flower cluster I have added the buttons to go with the theme and added bling randomly around the card.

Time Flies

Here is Ella in Trouble (redux) which you can find at Mo's Digital Pencil. I just had to have her as she reminded me of my daughter. When she was two, I found her in my room surrounded by my makeup, nail polish splattered on the carpet and makeup smeared on her face. I didn't know if I should be mad, laugh at the scene, or cry because of the inevitable polish cleanup!

This will be the perfect card for when she is older and we can reminisce about her sweet, adorable attempt at being grownup.

I used an old MME paper pad and some Wild Orchid Crafts flowers. The stamps on the tag, sentiment and the clock are Prima from the Printery collection. I used a lot of the Shabby Pink Frantage and Walnut Stain to distress and stamp with. I also used some Liquid Pearls to give Ella's necklace some dimension.
I colored her a while back and cannot remember what I used. I definitely think I have improved in my coloring. Either that or the different paper helps.

As always, thanks for the positive comments and enjoy your weekend!
Danielle:)

Little Elf Finn

Hello fellow crafters! For today I have a Christmas card starring the playful Little Elf Finn from Mo's Digital Pencil. I am sharing this card on Mo's Dream Team blog as I do every Saturday GMT time or Fridays here in the US. There is new inspiration twice a day every day of the week over there, so go have a look if you haven't already.
I have used My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Christmas. It is such a versatile Christmas paper pad. My last card (here) using this paper has such a different look.
I have Wild Orchid Flowers lightly coated with gesso and a Martha Stewart pine punch. The music sheet is from the paper as is the tag I made. On the tag I have some mini jingle bell and seam binding which I have added Red Brick DI to. The sentiment is wrapped around a miniature spool (so cute!). Some stitching, cheesecloth, Frantage and a doily round out the embellies.

Bubble Heart

I am happy to be back to share a card using Mo Manning's Bubble Heart! The image is so adorable I knew I had to color it up for a card for my husband.

I wish the picture came out a little better because the colors are more vibrant in person.

I used Pink Paislee's London Market and cut the butterfly out from one of the papers. The frame is made using a Martha Stewart mold and the stamp is a Prima stamp from the Printery collection. I destressed the edges of the paper and stitched and faux stitched some.

Kenny K New Christmas Release!!

Woohoo! It's time for another challenge with the Kenny K Krafty Krew!
Holiday Chic: Sparkle

Kenny K Downloads is also releasing three new and fun Christmas digis!

Our wonderful sponsors for this fortnight's challenge:

5 digis of the winner's choice

and

$20 Gift Certificate

I decided to color up Cozy Cocoa. I knew as soon as I saw it that I would use that one first for a tag on a gift.

I made the box from a template I made and made it large enough that I could package up some cocoa and marshmallows inside for Hot Cocoa for Two.

How perfect is that My Mind's Eye Lost & Found Christmas paper with the reindeer for the cabin feel!

I embossed the box and used Vintage Photo DI to bring out the impression better.

I used my Copics to color her and for my bit of sparkle I added glitter glue to the stockings, wreath bow, lips and nail, although you can't even tell in the pic:(

Can't wait for you all to join in this challenge and stop by the Kenny K Krafty Krew blog to see the rest of the Design Teams creations with the new releases!

Tilda at the Beach

Yay for me! Two cards in one day! I have tried my hand at another Magnolia Tilda stamp. They are slowly growing on me.

I have used some papers from the Prima Moulin Rouge pad and the striped one is a Glitz paper, I think.  I have used one of my new punch around the page punches, Deco Fan, as I thought they looked shell-like.

I frantaged the image with Shabby Blue and the sand with Aged Gold. At the same time I made the from for my previous card, I also used the other molds I had to make buttons, flourishes and stars. I thought the buttons looked like sand dollars and the flourishes- waves. So I threw those on my card.

The little sea Stars and blue shell were decorations at a cousins wedding, and as we were leaving I had my husband help me collects some as I knew I would be able to craft with them (we were allowed)!

I dyed some seam binding with Broken China and Chipped Sapphire and attached them to a little corked bottle that I found at Joann's. I am so disappointed as they no longer carry them in-store and with a coupon they were super inexpensive! Add some burlap painted with gesso and it was done!

Copics:
Skin- E000,00,21,11 R20,22
Hair- E50,21,25,29,59
Suit- B0000,32,34,37

Baby Fairy Flora

Today is my day to share with you my card for Mo's Dream Team blog! I have used Baby Fairy Flora (redux), which you can find at Mo's Digital Pencil. I have loved this image from the moment I saw it and am so happy to have finally snatched her up and colored her!
She is absolutely adorable! I know I seem to say that a lot about Mo's images, but they are ALL SO CUTE!

I have used Pink Paislee's London Market papers and Wild Orchid Crafts Flowers. I got out my Pear Pen again and my Shabby Pink Frantage.

The sweet frame I made using a Martha Stewart silicone mold and the crafting clay that goes along with it. I have had it for awhile and finally opened it up and had a play!

I wanted to use my doily border punch for a shaped card look but didn't have the corner punch, so I used another corner punch I had and it came out okay.

The heart tag I attached some seam binding dyed with Spun Sugar DI and attached a Pearl button. I also stamped a crest with a bee from Prima on the tag which, of course, I didn't photograph.

Copics used:

Skin-E000,00,21,11,R20, 22
Hair-E50,53,55,57, 59
Pink-RV000, R81,83,85

I have made a tag to share with you using Toy Soldier. I used red and aqua as my color palette as I thought that it was to be the challenge, but it was switched and I had already made the tag! I actually really the the combo now!

I used My Mind's Eye paper pad, Lost and Found Christmas and some die cuts. I used Viva Pearl Pen in Ice White. Love the Pearl pens, small pearls big pearls I can do them all without them looking misshapen like the Liquid Pearls.

I distressed the papers and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass DI.

Now that I am looking at my tag, I think I will go back with some more stamping on the top of the tag, like I did around the image. Maybe....I'm tired. I did a 5k Mud Run today and it was a blast, but I am pooped!

Tabitha

Today I am sharing a card I have made using the cutest little witch in digi-land, Tabitha from Mo's Digital Pencil.
Since I made my little nephew a card, I decided to make his sisters a card, too! I used some Teresa Collins Haunted Hallows papers and my silhouette for the black die cuts. I decided to add the tree's face with my craft knife at the last minute. I added some white get pen to the bat's wing overlapping the haunted house die cut to help it pop!

The sentiment is a cut out from the same old paper pad from Joann's that I used on my Zombified card.

I used my Silhouette for a lot of the die cuts. I made a tag with "Trick or Treat" stamped on it and stapled some spider web ribbon on to it. The paper is old stuff from my stash.
